Output
Four WAV stems: kick, snare, toms, and cymbals.
Use case
Drum remixing, replacement, transient editing, practice tracks, and drum-focused analysis.
DrumSep is an open, locally deployable HDemucs drum-element separator. Full-mix input uses a two-stage route: BS-RoFormer SW Fixed first extracts the drums stem, then DrumSep separates kick, snare, toms, and cymbals. Drum-only input skips the first stage. DrumSep is not presented as a public leaderboard SOTA model.
The production route uses the pinned model_drumsep.th PyTorch checkpoint with the MSST htdemucs loader at 44.1 kHz. It accepts a drum stem and returns kick, snare, cymbals, and toms.
BS-RoFormer SW Fixed uses BS-Rofo-SW-Fixed.ckpt plus BS-Rofo-SW-Fixed.yaml to split a full mix into six WAV stems.
